In the spirit of award season, Tarte Awakening Cheek Stain wins best blush in the ‘winter blues’ category. My sweet husband gave this to me for Valentine’s Day and there’s been a serious boost of happy in my beauty routine since. I’ve been admiring this since I first saw it in January (I have a really perceptive husband!) The pink ombre packaging sets this apart from all of my other blushes and the dewy neutral pink glow it leaves on cheeks is refreshing. Matte this is not, in fact, it stays a touch dewy on cheeks for a while. A welcome effect in the final stretch of winter. I brought this to Miami on vacation last week, along with another blush, but I only wore this all week! It’s really easy to apply with your fingers, but if you want a less dewy effect try using a fluffy brush.
